The difference between sharing the floor and playing together
On duos that need to interact within the offense more often
Last week, I read a really interesting story by The Athletic’s Raptors beat writer, Eric Koreen. He tweeted it out with the tease that Toronto’s Immanuel Quickley-Scottie Barnes duo needs to play together rather than merely sharing the floor.
It’s a real distinction, and one that got my radar up immediately. Quickley and Barnes have now been teammates for just shy of two months, and have played a mere 23 games together. But I do think Koreen is onto something.
