I want to use this space today to write about a couple of weird/unexpected things that are happening in the NBA right now — one on each side of the floor.

The first is that as of this writing on Tuesday afternoon, the Boston Celtics have the NBA's fifth-best offensive rating. They're scoring 119.7 points per 100 possessions, just 0.9 fewer than they did a year ago.
